Ovalimage is an Animation, Film and Sound Production studio based in Athens, Greece. It was founded at Oval, London in 2004 by Zina Papadopoulou and Grigoris Grigoropoulos.
Zina Papadopoulou is an independent director, animator and visual artist. She blends video, animation and photography to narrate her stories. Zina studied Graphic Design at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and then took her Master’s degree in Animation at the Utrecht School of the Arts in the Netherlands.
Grigoris Grigoropoulos is a Greek Composer and Sound Designer. He has studied Sonology in the Royal Conservatoire, the Hague and took his MPhil in Music Composition at the University of Birmingham.
He is interested in creating aural spaces, illuminated by sound.
